At Kinderhaus, we are dedicated to delivering quality education that is tailored to each child’s individual needs using Montessori principles. Our educational approach is hands-on and child-centered. We strive for creating a loving and stimulating environment for each child and to foster a love of learning.

Our Story
Kinderhaus opened its doors for welcoming children in 2006. Since then, it has moved twice, changed to become a close corporation with the name Windhoek Kinderhaus Pre-Primary cc and grown from 5 to 60 children.

The aim has always been to create an environment in which each child feels welcome, safe and developed to their full potential.
Kinderhaus is applying the Montessori Philosophy and Educational system to teach children with a concrete, hands-on approach how to function well in society and to excel in their educational career.

Kinderhaus is known for their diversity in culture and meeting each child with love and kindness. It has become a name that stands for quality education.
Our Philosophy
Our method of instruction is based on Dr. Maria Montessori’s belief that the first six years of a child’s life are the most formative, allowing them to absorb information and knowledge in the environment effortlessly.
The child and their individual interests, are at the core of this educational pedagogy. The role of the directress (teacher) is to nurture and guide each child, teaching them independence and fostering their natural desire to learn, in a prepared environment. Kinderhaus is a family of loving, educated teachers, who are dedicated to provide quality education, tailored to each child’s individual needs, using Montessori principles.
We celebrate a diversity of young learners between the ages of 1 and 5 years, in mixed-aged classrooms. By using innovative Montessori methods, teaching core values, and providing holistic education, we at Kinderhaus are committed to raise respectful and functioning young adults with integrity and accountability. We acknowledge that each child is unique and fostering a love of learning in each child individually, is our mission. We love God and teach the children Christian principles and core values.
